Thank you so much for the clear answers and references.
I've downloaded and read Publication 502 and see that not all of my in-home care will be deductible, since some of their time was spent on what that publication refers to as "household services" (laundry, preparing meals and/or washing dishes). I'm glad you referenced that publication else I may have included expenses that are not applicable.
