Thanks. - yes, over 70 1/2, and box 7 has the 7 distribution code, and 2b has the box checked for 'taxable amount not determined'. The questions that you mention when entering the 1099-R do not appear for me. I even deleted that 1099 entry and re-entered it, and I never get to the series of questions you mention.
