If you are having an error with the school zip code after inputting your 1098-T, please take the following steps:
- Go back to your 1098-T input and double check the state was listed as New Hampshire and not Ohio. The zip code must match the state.
- If the state is correct, then try deleting your 1098-T and importing it.
- Navigate to Form 1098-T:
- TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to 1098-T.
- TurboTax Desktop: Select Search Topics. Search for and select Form 1098-T.
- On the Your Education Expenses Summary screen, click delete.
- Click on Add a student on the Your Education Expenses Summary screen.
- Answer the questions on the following pages.
- On the screen, How would you like to upload your 1098-T, choose upload it from my computer or snap a photo with your phone.
