I assume you have already retrieved your first state software download. I don't know if you're using Windows or Mac version. In the Windows version you can go to the top of the TurboTax interface and in the top menubar choose ONLINE, and in the dropdown menu one of the choices is "Download state." See if it will allow you to choose a second state there. You will have to pay $40 to purchase a second (different) state program.
