Yes, you should be prompted to file the Form 8453. If for some reason you are not, you can add one before you e-file.
- Open your return in TurboTax Desktop > Select Forms
- Open Form on left > Type 8453 > Enter Select under 2024 US Form 1040 > Form 8453 > Click Open Form at the bottom
- Check the box for Form 8949 and follow the mailing instructions in the link below.
- Once complete go back to Step-by-Step and finish filing your return.
