Here is our situation:
Me: CA resident, MA non-resident, only earns income in CA
Wife: MA resident, CA non-resident, only earns income in MA
Can we do MFJ at the federal level, and MFS at CA and MA respectively for the tax year of 2024? Are there any laws that prevent us from doing that?
Also, can turbo tax handle that? If yes, at what level of service?
