TurboTax is a scam!! I used them this year to file taxes because there are one of the only companies that offer the advanced refund. Upon filing my taxes, I was directed to a Credit karma spend account, as an option for the deposit, which I opted to do, under the impression that this is likely how I would receive my advance in refund, only to find out that if you use the credit karma spend account, you are no longer eligible to receive the advance. Needless to say, I am livid!! After my taxes were accepted and I did not receive the advance within 24 hours, I started to do research and found this information on my own. TurboTax misled me and directed me to a page that would deny my advance in refund, knowing that was how I wanted to receive my refund. It is misleading. It is disgusting. It has screwed me over to the maximum! I needed the advance in money desperately. I did the free refund, so I can't even get a tax representative to speak to me now. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, TURBOTAX, AGAIN IN MY LIFE. LIARS!! I will find a more reputable company who stands on their word, and who does not mislead their clients just to get their business. DO NOT USE TURBOTAX!! YOU CAN FREE FILE STRAIGHT THROUGH THE IRS. I highly recommend doing so, since there is no additional benefit in filing with other agencies, such as dishonest businesses like TurboTax.
