Please help! Dealing with this now.
- purchasing home from parents for 1.6m
- doing 300k gift of equity
- so sales price to me would be 1.3m
accountant is saying my parents would have to pay capital gains tax on that 300k gift of equity so they shouldn’t do it because of that
is the accountant correct?
