I have a similar situation. Started my return as a free return. Ended up paying $78 ($39 for Deluxe and $39 for State). Shortly thereafter, I see a commercial from Turbo Tax which stated, if I didn't file with Turbo Tax last year, and I file by Feb 18th, it's 100% FREE.
