Get your taxes done using TurboTax
@sfitz202025 I am happy that you found a solution for your imports. Yay!
The irony is that the TT import reCAPTCHA error message begins: "Security is built into everything we do. TurboTax works hard to safeguard your information ..." Perhaps a more complete notice might to inform us that to make the import function work, you must turn off all your security: computer, router, network, etc. Then we can go naked on the Internet trusting that TT will keep our financial passwords and information secure. Trust us, but don't verify. Irony.
I think you let TT off the hook too easily. Yes, our workarounds do make imports work by changing our individual security configurations. But TT should be able to operate with our security. When I use MS Edge to download the data from Merrill Lynch, it works flawlessly through all my security, including my Norton VPN. But TT will not work unless I turn off the VPN security feature. What does Microsoft know in programming the MS Edge browser that Intuit doesn't know when they program TT?
Nevertheless, you and I have succeeded in finding a security environment acceptable to TTD. I hope other users find a suitable environment also. I also hope that next year TT "security" is not changed to make importing even more difficult.
