Get your taxes done using TurboTax
I had this happen for a loan that was discharged, but considered taxable income...and saw this print out, I do not feel I need to make estimated tax payments for the next year...and just because the discharge caused my income or AGI to be artificially bumped up/inflated this year, just to pay taxes on money I never received. How do I remove the NC-40 estimated forms from my filings, to be sure they don't transmit to the state? Especially, since the show due dates, I want to make sure! I haven't submitted them yet, due to this causing quite a scare, since I have never seen them before on turbo tax, and don't know what prompted it, other than filing D-400? I am not a contractor or vendor, only 1099-c for loan discharge, is the only thing different this year 2025, for 2024 taxes. Is the 1040-ES what causes the NC-40 forms to print out?
Ps. VolvoGirl Level 15 are you a certified turbo tax advisor?
Thank you!
