You are not understanding the issue. This is ORDINARY income, not a capital gains. In 2023 Turbotax, cashless sales of NQSOs were handled correctly. Look at the first two screen shots I've included from my 2023 TT for a similar NQSO exercise l did last year. Then look at the last screen shot below from 2024 TT for a similar NQSO exercise from this year. There is a totally different and wrong approach in 2024- TT missed the mark in 2024. It can't handle cashless sales w/o an override as best I can tell. If you can tell me where I went wrong, then I'd b e glad to try it but your 2024 software seems wrong on handling cashless NQSO.
