i checked with my desktop deluxe. it seems if you leave the RMD questions unanswered nothing bad happens except Turbotax will point out you need to take your RMDs. you can still e-file, as I have in the past without entering the RMD info. the IRS will compare the amounts on the 1040 to the 5498s it gets to check that you took your Rmds. more showing if you took more is ok. less is not.
