Get your taxes done using TurboTax
One possibility is that the summary report you are looking at is not showing the correct amount of interest income that will show as taxable on your Form 1040. I suggest you look at the Form 1040, line 2b to see if the correct amount of interest income is listed there as taxable interest.
To view your form 1040 and schedule 1 to 3:
- Choose Tax Tools from your left menu bar in TurboTax Online
- Choose Tools
- Choose View Tax Summary
- See the Preview my 1040 option in the left menu bar and click on it
- Choose the Back option in the left menu bar when you are done
If not, then look at the forms in your program to see if there is an errant Form 1099-INT included that you can delete.
1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar
2. Choose Tools
3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links
4. Find the errant Form 1099-Int in the list and delete it
