Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If you live in Minnesota but have gambling income from Wisconsin, follow the steps below.

  1. File a Wisconsin Nonresident Tax Return: You will need to file a Wisconsin state return as a nonresident to report your gambling income from Wisconsin
  2. File a Minnesota Resident Tax Return: Then, file a Minnesota state return as a resident. When using TurboTax complete the nonresident state return first to limit issues and ensure that you aren't taxed on the same income by both states

For more detailed guidance, you can refer to the Minnesota Department of Revenue and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue websites.
