This happened to me this year. I filed federal returns on 1/15/25. Stuck in pending until today, automatic reject from TurboTax without them ever transmitting the return to the IRS. (IRS no record of ever receiving). After countless calls to turbotax, finally reached one rep that knew what happened. Glitch in TurboTax’s system due to me filing form 5965. I was told my only option as to mail my returns in. Instead I submitted my tax returns on 1/30 a second time through TaxACT, with form 5965 and had both federal and state accepted within minutes. I demanded a refund over the phone for my filing fees and TurboTax complied. Stay far away from this company, they have incompetent reps on the phones that will waste a lot of your time. Previous years never had an issue, this year was a disaster. Save yourself the headache and file through TaxACT or another reputable online tax return submission company.
