Get your taxes done using TurboTax

When you are married filing separately in a community property state, you need to allocate community income and deductions between spouses.

Generally, the income and deductions are split 50/50, but whether and how some items are split do vary by state.

Essentially you would report half of your income and half of your spouse's income on your return, and your spouse would do the same. You'd repeat the process for deductions and any tax withholding.
