Get your taxes done using TurboTax
It appears that the IRS has not yet released this form for 2024. An option might have been to file without reporting the charitable contribution, pay the higher tax liability determined on your tax return, then later amend to add the charitable contribution and claim a refund. Unfortunately, doing so ties up the funds that you would eventually get back as a refund without earning any interest.
Probably simpler to just make an estimated tax payment now and file a complete tax return when the form becomes available. When you eventually file, I would tell TurboTax to allow the IRS to calculate and bill for the penalty (preventing TurboTax from calculating a penalty). IT seems that the IRS sometimes applies a grace period to payments, so they might not bill for any penalty.
