Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Except in a very rare circumstance, your employer is required to give you a Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. If you don't receive it, you may have to paper-file your return using IRS Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2 using your last pay stub, but that would be an absolute last-resort option.
According to Who must file Form W-2 in the General Instructions for Forms W-2 and W-3 (2024):
Only in very limited situations will you not have to file Form W-2. This may occur if you were not required to withhold any income tax, social security tax, or Medicare tax and you paid the employee less than $600, such as for certain election workers and certain foreign agricultural workers.
