My wife was a part year resident of WI last year and now lives in MN. She worked in MN the entire year. We have decided to file separately but she needs help filing. She got a two page W2 in the mail and she was trying to figure out the following:
"I received one sheet that says "page 1' and has my Employee reference information with my Federal Filing copy and MN State reference copy information on it. The second says "page 2" has my WI reference copy.
I've never received a WI filing form before even when living in Wisconsin. I was wondering if I was supposed to receive two W2 pages and especially one for WI as the company is located in Minnesota."
All the boxes appear the same except 12CD, 15, 16 and 17 is left blank on the WI form. If anyone could advise her how to file this, it would be great before seeking out a CPA.
