Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Not having a CD/DVD option cuts deeply on those of us that live in rural areas. Not everyone has the ability to just "plop a download/update to their computer".

1) Our internet is metered with data limits.

2) Slower internet and my anti-virus pulls my system to a halt with large downloads.

3) Without install control, I cannot queue the updates to my schedule. With a CD install, I can install the software and then only choose the update when my internet is plugged in -- yes, hard wired PLUGGED IN.

4) Windows update service is disabled on my system. See three above. When wanting an update download, I reactivate the update service and only then, continue. If Turbo Tax is tapping into the update service engine in Windows, the whole thing will crash.

5) I live my computer life LOCAL. All my software is local, my data is local, my computers do not access the cloud, and my control of what goes on with my computer remains mine.

Since I am required by law to do tax returns the least that can happen is a way for me to do them with the least amount of hassles to the consumer. That means provide a CD/DVD that I can pick up locally at the nearest office store (in our case a 148 mile one way trip) so that I do not have to shut down my business specifically for a day of downloading ONLY Turbo Tax Home and Business.
