I inhereted 16 mohogany- solid wood- hand carved- doors that were in my family house located overseas in year 2019. I paid to get them brought to the US in the year 2022. As an individual, I would like to sale these doors on ebay and I will get a 1099-k after the sale. When I do my taxes in 2025 filing as an individual, not as a business, how do I calculate how much of this income is taxable?. how can I calculate the market value of of these items at the time of death in 2019 if they are so unique? Do I get to deduct the freight I paid to get them to the US even though I am not a business?.
