Unable to install and activate using Edge and Windows 11

I am using a download bought through Amazon.  I have been unable to get past the installation process as TT is telling me that I have "hit a snag" so that I cannot actually install and activate TT.  I have done everything the instructions have told me to do -- deactivated antivirus software and Windows Defender, added TT to trusted sites, updated Windows, reinstalled, cleared the cache, checked administrator rights.  Is this a Windows 11 incompatability?  What workaround can I expect.  I really don't want to leave TT and go to another software company.
