I went abroad on 1st week of Jan 2017 and returned on last week of May 2017. I was a resident alien for tax purpose under F1 before I left US. I had Health Insurance in Jan 2017 but did not have any health insurance for February 2017 till July 2017 and got my Health Insurance in August 2017 when I joined classes. 1) I want to know whether I am still resident alien for tax purpose 2) If I am resident alien, I want to know whether I can qualify for Health Insurance exemption for having no income in 2017? 3) Can I still file In TurboTax under these circumstances.
