Hello, back on April 15, 2024 I filed an extension. Later that day I received an email stating that it was rejected. I immediately logged back in to resubmit. However, it showed my extension HAD been accepted. The option of re-submitting was not available. I thought I was OK.
But I was wrong. The IRS tells me the extension WAS rejected. Now I'm in the process of apprealing the fines.
Is there anything I can do? Has this happened to anyone else?
