I have filed and paid my Ohio taxes using TurboTax for the last several years. Each year, I've received a separate notice from RITA saying that I owe money for local taxes. I realize now that I need to print out and submit my TurboTax return to RITA separately to show that I filed. My question is as follows: Do I really owe RITA money or do I just need to prove that I've already filed my taxes using TurboTax? If the answer is the latter, how can I get refunded for the money I've been paying RITA for the past few years?
