Turbotax 2024 - multiple requests for activation on same computer

OK, I think I am at 3 activations on the same computer (2 for sure).  I read somewhere that configuration changes (USB drive, etc) could make this happen.  I cannot see what could be triggering this.  How do I deactivate a device, or all of them - and then I can activate the desktop again, to get this thing back on track.  I have a long time before I will be done with taxes this year, and I'm betting that I will run out of activations...
