Schedule C rules: Changed from LLC to Sole Proprietorship Mid-year
I had a single-member LLC that I "closed" with my state's secretary of state's office mid-year and immediately began operating the same business as a Sole Proprietorship. Both businesses have the same name but separate EINs and no employees. Do I need to file a separate Schedule C for each business for 2024? I've seen the posts that explained if the situation were reversed (SP closes and restarts as a single-member LLC), only one Sch C is required. Is that true in my case?
Thanks
