with Turbotax you do not import the prior year into the current year. first you need the prior year xxxxx.tax2023 file. When you open 2024 Turbotax select start a new return, then it will look for the 2023 file. you may have to browse to find it. once found select it and then the 2024 app will transfer the 2023 data.
txf files are import files for things like k-1s and 1099s. they are not your complete prior year return. and you can import a 2023 txf into the 2024 app.
