If I am an online reseller and I bought a bunch of inventory using sales tax exemption because I plan to resell the items. What happens to my liability if the items don’t sell by the end of the year? Do I have now have to pay the sales tax on all the items I purchased with the exemption because they haven’t sold, or does the unsold inventory rollover into the next year?
