Why am I paying for this service?
I never received a rejection code nor was I able to fix my return.
If I had/have to print my return and mail it in, why do I have to pay for this service.
It is already ludicrous that I have to pay to file my taxes in the first place, when the institution with which I am filing my tax info already knows how the filing should be done, evident by the reject codes or successful filing notification.
How is there a company that is this profitable based upon a service that has the American People filing paperwork regarding information the IRS already knows about, specific to the amount of money involuntarily taken out of their income/each paycheck by someone other than themselves which is always incorrectly done (in my lifetime) (i.e. it never results in me owing or being refunded $0) AND can result in us being penalized by the US Government after said company fails to do exactly what they exist to do in the first place?
And now I have to pay more money to find out why my tax filing continues to be rejected? I was a W2 worker for a single job on these returns; how is this getting rejected? Is this not the simplest tax filing that exists for someone with a legal income? I tried the AGI=0 - to no avail; but that logic IMHO is unsound anyhow - my AGI for a previous year was NOT 0. Why should I be penalized for a late fee due to the institution with which I am filing not completing their job on time if entering this inaccurate AGI amount is/was indeed the source of my rejected filing?
Shouldn't they be penalized for failing to complete their portion of the tax filings on time? How is there not something done to account for this nonsense?
At the end of the American Workday, I should not have to pay more of my taxed income on a service/product that essentially exists to ensure my income was taxed correctly. Additionally, I should not have to pay even more of my taxed income when said service, in combination with the IRS, has contributed to the failure of this service working correctly for me.
Please do the right thing here.
