I don't know how I did it, but I switched to Forms view and manually found the schedule C form and then filled in all the information (I pulled up last years Schd C and put numbers in the same places).
This also worked the second time around. under "search" I typed in "schedule C"
The assistant went to "add/edit Schdule C" and I was able to enter in data, but that only worked once, and I can't replicate it.
