Thank you! the re-compiler worked fine, and I disabled the auto updates as there was no more updates for 2019 anyways, but in the event that you accidentally trigger an update, save a copy of the edited dll file and then just replace it before re-launching TT. Thank you again for the developers at grubhub that found the workaround, this same could have been developed by TT as we are all legal owners of these licenses, but they choose to ignore us instead and instruct their support to not give us any workaround. It is enough stress to having to deal with the IRS on an old return/amendment; we do not have the luxury to be stressed by turbo tax as well. I hope someone actually listens and makes future support less squared and more flexible at least for future amendments, which are out of our control and more in the hands of the IRS. I would say further that a 5 year support window should be enough to deal with most of future issues regarding accepted returns, the program should allow us to at least open, reprint and amend a previous return for the next years in case the IRS requests it, specially given the agency's slowness in processing our filings.
