Got collection notice. When I called, the IRS rep said he saw that we paid the penalty the past 3 yrs but that I needed to contact "balances due" dept. Have tried to talk to them 3 times but disconnected every time. I was told it's because if you're in the queue too long, it hangs up. Thoughts?
