Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Yes it is the desktop.
-I entered the amount of my IRA contributions.
- Turbo Tax determined that I was not eligible to take the deduction of the IRA contribution .
- This total due the IRS was indicated
- I filed the return using the Turbo tax desktop application
- When the payment was made to the IRS on April 15 it indicated an amount which I have since determined was as a result of the IRA contribution being calculated into the return.
- I saved the PDF of the return when I filed. I did not look at the amount due the IRS because I believe it to be the higher amount.
- I subsequently opened the application and it, the TurboTax application shows that the payment due the IRS was higher. I determined this to believe that the IRA contribution is not calculated in the application.
- I do not understand how the PDF printed at the time of filing could be different from what the application shows now (that I owe more to the IRS).
- the expert I spoke to today at Turbo Tax could not explain it and unfortunately, I am in the situation. I am at now
-I am looking for a solution to the above specifically why does the application now show that I owe more to the IRS then was originally calculated and filed and paid?
