Yes, when your tax return is rejected you are supposed to sign back in, read the rejection message, fix your return, and submit it again.
Here's how to do that:
- Sign in to your TurboTax account.
- Select Fix my return.
- On the Let's fix your return and then refile screen, select Fix it now or Revisit.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to edit your information. You may get a message that you don't understand. If that happens, post it here and TurboTax will help you further.
- If the program doesn't take to the spot to fix your return, select Review, then Check my return. Address any details that come up. Keep going until there are no additional details, messages, or questions.
- When you're finished, select Continue to File and continue until you e-file your return.
