Why does my Schedule A line 29 not correctly match my 1040 line 40 - it has a difference of 2,423? Doesn't the result of Schedule A map directly to the 1040?
I did claim a Hurricane Harvey loss this year but I am missing the step of what happened from the bottom of Sch A to 1040 line 40 that caused them not to be the same.
