April 13, 2024. I paid for 1 additional state and downloaded California and Utah state versions, clicked next and TurboTax started up. There were no states added. I found this very lengthy post of others with the same problem and no solution. California requires taxes be filed on April 15. Sure, I can file an extension; but I need a reasonable estimate to know how much must be paid by April 15. I suspect Utah is the same. While both amounts will be less than $100, penalties for under payment and interest will add up quickly, especially when 2 states are involved. The absence of a meaningful answer about any of this from Intuit is very disturbing.
