I have seen others have this same problem and I am hoping TT can fix it before the filing deadline.
I have a nonqualified plan earnings value in box 11 of my W2. There is nothing in boxes 15-20. However, when I try to advance through TT, TT makes me choose the state I am in when I confirm that I received a distribution and did not make a contribution for my nonqualified plan. When I get to "run smart checks" I have an error related to this. I can ignore it and go to filing (and I paid for my state filing as well), but then TT gets hung up and constantly gives me the same error stating "check this entry - Form W2 (company name) nonqualified distribution (state ID) does not match with any states entered in box 15.
My box 15 is empty. I have to assign it my state (Alabama) after I enter my W2 information by answering a TT question. Because these are now mismatched, I cannot file.
I've called the 1-800 number but I can't seem to get through to anyone.
