Also, in all future years, you must continue to supply the IRS generated identity PIN number. The PIN you received for this year's tax filing is good for only this calendar year. After that, the IRS will automatically generate a new PIN for you, which you can access by going to the same website, Get An Identity Protection PIN | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov). Finally, to get your PIN, you will need to set up a login and password with ID.ME. That will be explained when you get your identity PIN.
