I don't have k-1 data but turbotax thinks I do and won't let me continue unless I upgrade. How can I skip k-1 in the wages section if it says I have to upgrade first?
I do not have k-1 data but turbotax wants me to upgrade to premium. I cannot continue my taxes unless I can convince turbotax there is no k-1. How do I do that?
I followed the help advice below but I cannot select "skip" because it requires upgrading first:
If TurboTax is prompting you to upgrade to a higher product due to missing K-1 data, you can try the following steps to bypass the upgrade prompt:
1. Go to the "Federal Taxes" tab in TurboTax.
2. Select "Wages & Income" and then "I'll choose what I work on."
3. Scroll down to "S-corps, Partnerships, and Trusts" and select "Start" next to "K-1s, 1099s, etc."
4. On the next screen, select "Skip to continue."
5. TurboTax will then ask you to confirm that you don't have any K-1s to enter. Select "Yes" to confirm.
