Deceasedspouse
I am not sure what to do, my husband had two bank accounts that have his SSN number for IRS purposes. He passed away at the end of 2022 so I was able to file a joint return for 2022.
Not so much for this year filing! As for 2023 taxes I do not know how to file the interest earned. I am on one of the accounts but the 1099 INT only has his SSN. On the second account I had to file a small estate with the court because I was not on that account and of course it has his SSN only.
So here I am filing a claim as a widow, but still have interest income on my husband SSN.
