While I was completing income and deduction sections the tax amount owed was showing. I advance through the screens did the check and TurboTax said everything was OK with the same tax amount still showing. When I click next to go to file my state taxes all of a sudden the federal amount owed went up $3000, why would it say everything looked good and then change it at this point? I tried reloading 1099 from my brokerage it’s almost like it’s not pulling in the 1099 DIV initially only the 1099B but then, somehow, after the check goes through it magically updates everything! I have been searching for some kind of online product support for TurboTax but I couldn’t find anything so I thought I would try here!
