Since WA does not have a state income tax, the deferred salary will not be taxed by them, only your resident state. Enter VA, the taxable amount should carry to your state. Check your tax forms to make certain only the taxable portion is showing as additional income on your VA return.
To see your forms:
- In desktop, switch to Forms Mode.
- For online:
- On the left side, select Tax Tools
- Select Print center
- Select Print, save or preview this year's return
- If you have not paid, select pay now.
