In the HSA interview when you see "Was [name] covered by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) in 2023?", answer, "No, I did not have coverage."
This will set the coverage for each month to NONE for purposes of the calculations.
Then in the Review, you will find that the Review objects to your answer for Line 1 (Self or Family). It does this because the Review does not know how you go into the 8889 processing without having any HDHP coverage. We have been unable to persuade the Development Team to address this.
In any case, if you just answer Self, this will not affect the calculations any, but will get you past this issue in the Review.
