Get your taxes done using TurboTax
This EE savings bond interest shouldn't be taxable on your New York State Tax Return.
Make sure that it was properly entered on line 3 and not line 1 of Form 1099-INT, when entering your form into TurboTax.
You can use these instructions to get back to that entry:
- Click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTaxiit is in the upper right corner)
- Type in “1099-INT” and
- Click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
- You will see “Jump to 1099-INT”
- Click on “Jump to 1099-INT” link
- Edit your entry to review where the savings bond interest was reported, if needed.
