Not a resolution but I talked with the IRS today...45 min wait...and this XML issue is definitely related to Form 7206 even though my error message doesn't mention the form.
They said it is an error in how Turbo Tax is sending the information, so hopefully the March 29 update will fix it. The recommendation from Turbo Tax was as follows:
1) Call TT support
2) Ask for the CSR to text their Lead or Manager and "confirm that they see successful e-files with form 7206."
Hope this helps...one caution...apparently you only get 4-5 attempts to e-file before the IRS blocks your social security number for the tax year. Unfortunately, no one, not even IRS could confirm if it was 4 or 5.
