Detail Reporting Exception: if you summarize Category A or Category D, Form 8949 is not needed for transactions without adjustments. No mailing is necessary.
In this case, Form 8949 should not appear.

This is now the TurboTax default action for Box A or Box D whether with detail or with summary.
Based on prior forum complaints about this. it seems there is no way to force TurboTax to list all such transaction details on Form 8949, as allowed by IRS.
