Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Yes, this can happen when the ownership of the W-2 forms on a joint return is entered incorrectly in the program.

Here's how to review this:

  1. Open you return.
  2. Select Federal, then Wages & Income.
  3. To the right of Job (W-2), select Edit/ Add.
  4. Expand the section by selecting the down arrow to the right
  5. Select Edit below the W-2 information.
  6. Check the name on the first screen.
  7. Review each W-2 and make sure the correct owner is indicated.
