Do I need to amend 2022 taxes after recharacterization
Hello,
So I had input money to my Roth IRA since 2020 but while filing taxes in 2023 I thought my income was actually above the 146k limit for previous year. So I did a recharacterization in 2023 for year 2022 and some of 2023 totaling 5,701.63. Filing taxes now for 2023, it's saying I may need to amend my 2022 taxes.
Do I actually have to amend 2022 taxes and what would that look like? Do I need to say I moved the money from that year to a Traditional IRA?
